Matter Nutrition

Social media content design, website design and brand strategy

Matter Nutrition is a UAE-based meal-prep service that focuses on nutrient-dense, macro-counted, and science-based meals.

The high-quality meals from Matter Nutrition are specifically catered to each individual's needs and goals. With the industry segment becoming increasingly saturated, one of their main goals was to ensure that we were diversifying rather than offering more meal plan solutions by taking into account the consumer's lifestyle rather than just the food. In addition to healthy food, they wanted to offer an ecosystem of trained professionals, educational information, and community support.

As they grew from a start-up to an SME, they wanted to gain visual consistency across all of their platforms, expand their product line, and rethink their consumer experienceI applied their original brand identity system to keep their social media platforms and brand image consistent and relevant.

How to make food science-y again?

I used Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop to design social media posts and website content. We had three pillars for content: 1) Knowledge sharing, 2) Community building, and 3) showcasing new product offerings.

The social media posts shared information in a manner that was easily digestible, and created a sense of community through conversation. We used our platform to connect and expand our community into an ecosystem of different groups of people, from individuals from the fitness and wellness community, to worker bees who are trying to find their work-life balance.

Apart from social media posts, I collaborated on creating the interior design of their kitchen, marketing campaigns, and website designs.

Main takeaways

  1. Build work that scales and flexes across a variety of audiences, devices, platforms.

  2. Importance of brand consistency and how to achieve it.

  3. Exploring revenue opportunities within and outside the business.

  4. User testing doesn't end after development. Design is a constant iteration of improving the experience for the end user. Always find ways to listen and respond to your user's feedback.

So, we made a brand, but how does that brand extend to various brands that Matter plans to expand into? Each product needed its own personality.

During my time working with Matter Nutrition, it grew from a start up into SME. This project gave me the opportunity to learn how to apply an already existing brand identity to create new, informative content and develop campaigns to bring Matter Nutrition closer to their goals.

Using creative ideation and conceptualization techniques, Matter Nutrition became a long-term recurring client that I worked closely with. The development of the expansion of their product line involved a design of a completely new digital platform called PRTN to make healthy meals more easily accessible.
