Podcast brand identity design
Sheikha Al Mheiri is an entrepreneur running multiple companies across the Middle East. The breadth of her experience combined with her sense of empathy enables her to create a platform of potential in the Middle Eastern region and beyond. The goal was to create a podcast that presents a consolidated story in the market, engages audiences through relatable content, and connects to a wider regional and global community.
The main goal was to create a consolidated platform rooted in a self-managed podcast to present Sheikha’s story to the community. We wanted to build a wider network of successful entrepreneurs in the region and globally and gain further credibility in the market.
Setting our creative identity
To kick-off this project, I conducted market research to establish content verticals and understand our audience segments and key trends in the podcast industry. Using this information, I created a brand identity for the podcast that captured Sheikha’s bold and empowering stories with vibrant visual language. The brand identity establishes a cohesive look and feel across a diverse range of platforms, including social media, websites, and podcast apps.
Creating a consolidated platform to build a wider network of successful entrepreneurs in the Middle East and globally
The podcast will focus on a combination of education and inspiration through a consistent flow of relevant topics and guest speakers from all industries and life experiences. We noticed that there are few podcasts that provide business guidance and inspiration for women in the region. Plus, there is a lack of consistent content being shared with many being paused for over one year.
There were three main objectives for this podcast:
1) Create a consolidated platform rooted in a self-managed podcast to present Sheikha’s story to the community
2) Build a wider network of successful business owners and entrepreneurs in the region and globally, and gain further credibility in the market
3) Position Sheikha as a thought leader in the business community while bringing leading perspectives from complementary personalities
Developing the creative direction:
By conducting market research in the podcast industry, I developed an understanding of the current podcast branding that is already established. With this understanding, I created the creative direction and design for the podcast that specifically represented both Sheikha's identity and her career. It needed to have a natural yet vibrant vibe to it. Using a combination of bright and muted colors, along with clean geometric circles, I designed a series of design assets for her podcast, including social media posts, website banners, and podcast cover art. The geometric circles and segments represent how Sheikha is one person with multiple facets to her.
